Shatterworld Campaign Setting

I've been working on how to create maps for civilized areas. Here's my map of a farmlands. I pulled a satellite image of actual farmlands, so the scale is actually close. As far as farmland goes, this is what you see at a scale of 1" = 1 Mile. The little brown dots each represent roughly 50 people.
To me, the key is to balance the stylized nature of the map for clarity, yet to still communicate the level of development to some level of accuracy, so player can tell when they are wandering into the "wilds". An hour's trek can make all the difference.
