Hi guys! check this song out! it should be the OSR official song! just listen to the lyrics!

Days of High Adventure
Sword at side or pen to write
Our weapon in our heart more than in our hand.

To fall in the line or stand back to sing
We witnessed the glory of many heroes' end.

We've marched aside the greatest of all,
Whoever that is only the soul can tell.
We sang for those who could never rest
The Days of High Adventure,
In our chests, will never end.

Aeons long gone and places unseen...
Our life is lost between what wil be and what has been.

Commanding a fleet or sounding a charge
Our souls will fill with ecstacy when we draw our swords

We'll never forget when we reigned on Aquilonia,
Or fought aside the Albino Prince,
Wear the Ring, Ride the Dragon, draw the Sword out of the Stone
And blow your last breath into the Horn!

We've always been there
We are the Riders of Doom
One fate: Sword and Shield
In Days of High Adventure
We are born to die on the battlefield.

The sword is a very good bad! i saw them live last year! but Doomsword is better! and the song reflects more the general idea of the OSR and the people that form it :)

Meh.
Not my style. I haven't been able to stomach any 'metal' since high school. Bland, boring, two-dimensional, trite lyrics.

I'm more into prog and instrumental stuff. Bo Hansson's Music inspired by Lord of the Rings is more my speed.
Or Lustmord...The Place Where The Black Stars Hang or Metavoid.

If I had to go into the heavy rock realm for such a thing, I'd take The Sword over the band in the OP any day. But, really, I'd rather any number of stoner rock/doom metal bands. Sleep, Asteroid, Naam, Orchid, Electric Wizard, Om, Witch, Witchcraft, Earth, Dead Meadow, Graveyard, etc.,etc.
Orchid's "Down Into The Earth" seems a far better fit for the likes of me.

There's a subtle difference between these two posts. I'm sure you can spot it. ;)
