I just joined the forums and thought I'd say hi.

After scanning through a few threads, I have to say that these forums sure look a lot friendlier than some of the others I have been frequenting. :) (rpg.net and pf forums quickly give me a headache from all the snipping)

As for me... I've been playing since the late 70s and run a heavily modded (barely recognizable) 1e game with tons of ideas lifted from other versions and other games. Lately, I've come to appreciate more and more the elegance of the earlier editions and have been focusing on turning my game back towards its 1e roots.

This a friendly friendly forum. I gotta say that have shared some of your abd experiences with other forums. None of that here. Some interesting game ideas are kicked around here.

Welcome to the forum Old Guy. Yes, this forum is an oasis and a haven from the rubbish that goes on in many other rpg forums. You can see that too from the old Goblinoid Games forum. You should find us a very like-minded bunch here.

Welcome, Old Guy. I, too, am amazed and relieved at all the stuff that doesn't go on here. While there are some unpleasant characters here to be sure--mostly mine--the players themselves are quite good-natured. :)
