Indeed, my mistake - thanks :D

Grimes positions his shield in front of himself, and gets ready to charge across. He'll wait for a moment to see what the lizardman is reaching for (levers are BAD, if that's what it is....) If the light spell prevents him from touching whatever he was reaching for, and nothing seems to happen, he's going to charge across, ready to chop some legs!

(Prior to crossing, he'll tell his companions, "I'm going across!" if no one objects, he's charging. If someone says to wait, he'll wait.)

Furuk recalls the pain of previous traps and is reluctant to cross the slab.

"You can do what you want Grimes, but I'm staying here for now."

He exchanges his sword for his crossbow and begins firing at the lizardmen.

I'm back

Lava pit battle

Initiative Baddies d6, 5, Party d6, 2 Baddies have initiative

The first lizardfolk archer (LA1) fires his crossbow at Furuk (d20, 14, MISS) but the bolt misses.

The second (LA2) fires at Grimes (d20, 10, MISS) and his shot is wide too.

The lizardfolk warrior reaches the wall before he is blinded! He grabs what appears to be a horn and raises it to his lips. What you hear is not especially loud, but it makes the hairs on the backs of your necks stand on end, and sends ripples across the lava like a shockwave.

Dieter fires off a Continual Light spell and targets the warrior. He drops the horn, blinded, but it's too late.

Furuk fires his crossbow (at LA1) (d20, 14, HIT) and the bolt strikes (dmg d8, 8) and the lizardfolk warrior screams.

Grimes thinks better of his charge. (autopilot) He pulls out his bow and fires at the beast (d20, 6, MISS) but is too rattled by its appearance to aim properly.

Dandy casts his spells (previous turns) -- Dieter (d6+1, 4+1=5) and Grimes (d6+1, 5+1=6). (autopilot) He hefts his hammer and throws at LA2 (d20, 18, HIT, dmg d8+2x2, 7+2x2=18) crushing it.

Einar (autopilot) fires an arrow (d20, 8, MISS) but his shot is wide.

The lake of lava churns as if the horn has awoken something...

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes says "Dandy! Dandy? Damn." And he says, "It's been nice knowing you all", and he charges off after Dandy, fully aware of the foolhardiness of the charge, but not wanting to see his comrade face the threat alone.

With the bridge being approximately 100', it will take Dandy two (2) turns (top speed, 90') to get across and Furuk four (4) (top speed, 30'). They both would know this (or could approximate it) so I wanted to make sure you (the Players, not the PCs) take that into account. Dandy can throw fine from the far entrance, if he's just looking for a better tossing zone.
