MF Session Report

Posted this on G+, putting here for those who don't frequent there. Have been having a few great MF sessions with our very own kjc and jcftao (more session reports to follow). I used sniderman's and wizardawn's excellent resources to put it all together.

I hadn't played or run MF before this, I found myself really liking that hit points were essentially as high as they would ever be at first level. It makes the 1st level PCs so much less fragile in comparison to standard D&D or clones, and allowed me to feel comfortable throwing some higher-level baddies at the party. It also makes leveling up much faster at low levels. Still, the PCs came close to death a few times, so it wasn't a walk in the park. They just did not have to worry about dying from the very first hit.

Agreed! Good fun.
We are starting a space game over at Unseen Servant, Humanspace Empires I think it's called.
I'm looking forward to it.

Glad you're enjoying the reports. I have a few more to post in the works. What was cool was throughout I was just using stock mutant baddies from the modules and the MF rulebook (some slightly tweaked, of course), there is so much imagination that comes through in that book you can't help but have fun :).
