Harn then attempts to clean the axe of dirt and goblin smell.

A quick soak in the river gets much of the dirt and grime off the axe. As for the smell, well, that's going to take more time and effort.

Old Anja pats her horse on the neck to calm him. "Wolves," she says. She dismounts from Radnik and starts walking forward toward the outcrop to peek around and see.

Tret, rogue

Tret dismounts and nocks a magic arrow in his bow. I'll scout ahead, can you calm the horses, Anja?

Meringered puts his new borrowed shield on his arm, grabs his mace and accompanies Anja. He is unable to hide his nervousness while doing so.

Harn readies his battle axe .

Tret dismounts and nocks a magic arrow in his bow. I'll scout ahead, can you calm the horses, Anja?

Anja ignores Tret and continues walking towards the outcrop. She looks at Meringered as he joins her, and nods.

((Note that Anja doesn't walk very fast, and Tret could probably easily pass her and get to the outcrop first if he wants ))

Tret, scouting ahead--past Anja, presumably-- you see that the outcropping is roughly fifty feet high, though it's hard to tell in the dark. There's an extra black patch of darkness that appears to be a cave entrance about thirty feet up. You think you could easily climb up to it. Your companions might be able to climb it. Your horses will not be able to climb anywhere at all on the outcropping.

Tret throws caution to the wind and climbs up. He wonders if his 30' length of rope will reach from up there...

Tret, you climb up the rocks without any trouble. The rope almost reaches the ground. The rest of the party can grab it.

"Do you want me to lift you up there?" asks Meringered to Anja, half expecting her to say no.
