Effric, Druid

"Agreed, let's explore the secret staircase."

Sounds like a general concensus. Let's take the bandit's stairway. Thurwin will ask Caydon if he can scout the passage ahead of time for traps and to sneak down a bit and see if anything is waiting for us.

kwll wrote:"How much oil have we left? This house is not small; we might want to keep some or get some new supply..." inquires Calthas.

"I have yet four pints in my backpack," Effric says.

Father Redmond - Cleric

Father Redmond also agrees that Caydon should take all the risks and scout ahead ;)
"Or our young Calthas here, who can see in the dark could also be a good candidate." adds the good Father while resting on a rock nearby.

Caydon - Rogue
Caydon gets all squinty-eyed and replies to Father Redmond, "Yeah, I've got this," with just a hint of sarcasm. "Uhm, could someone loan me a torch?" After he equips a light source, he smiles and whispers to Thurwin, "If I'm not back soon...you come and get me. You got that?" Caydon then cautiously heads down the stairs, checking the treads, walls and ceiling as he goes. "That's the problem when working with others...they expect results!" Caydon whispers to himself.

Calthas acknowledges Effric's response. "It is true, and reversely some people don't see anything even in plain light..." answers the elf to Father Redmond with an ironical look.

Caydon - Rogue
Caydon treks back up the stairs and rejoins his comrades."Seems safe enough, and judging by the dust, this path is very rarely taken. I found two concealed doors in a small room at the bottom..." Caydon pauses for a moment as he meets everyone's gaze, "...and there is something BIG moving behind one of them!"

Thurwin - Wizard

Thurwin nods and pats Caydon on the shoulder and says "Nice work, old friend." He glances down the stairs and says "Shall we?"

If everyone is on board, lets go down the stairs quietly and assess what the "big" noise is about. Assuming it's a baddie, it could be time to spring a trap.

Tavin - Monk

Tavin will quietly move down the stairs, sword in hand.
