FMG News (Jan. 2011)

(I keep forgetting a lot of the old topics aren't here on the new forums.)

Quick updates:
We are currently (finally!) awaiting the proofs from the printer for a little offering we like to call:

Lesserton & Mor: A Complete Guide to the Ancient Ruins of Mor and the Town of Lesserton, Adventurer's Paradise!

This bad boy weighs in at over 110 pages! The format is three books: The Players Guide to Lesserton, The GM's Guide to Lesserton, and The GM's Guide to Mor. There are illustrations from Steve Zieser and a killer town map by Mark Allen. It also include a color cover wraparound for the three books with cover art by Pete Mullen. The whole things will be shrink-wrapped for freshness.

There are rules for generating your own version of the ruins, filling in the numbered hexes on the mega map, a new PC race (the Orkin), rules for carousing and gambling, oodles of table for random weirdness in the ruins, and more! NTM a host of NPCs, locales, and hooks galore! It also comes with two sample adventures: one for in-town and one for the ruins.

Mr. Joel really pulled out all the stops on this one. It's got tons of goodies for running a whole sandbox campaign in the region, or to cherry-pick for your own GM toolbox.

With a little luck, we should have the proof in hand within the next several days. After that, if all is well, we'll be ordering the first print run. PDFs will be available at RPGNow and Black Blade Publishing. Hard copies will also be available at Black Blade. It will be released ASAP. Keep watching for further bulletins. In other news, look for me hanging with the folks from Black Blade at GaryCon 3 this March. Mr. Joel will be attending Origins, and we'll have products at the GenCon OSRG booth.

On another con-related note: Is anyone in the DC/MD/VA area thinking of attending SynDCon this April? It appears geared more toward 4e and other "new school" games, but if some folks were interested, I could see showing up for a day and playing some pickup LL or similar.
