I have been considering the current payload...and the new S&S is coming soon...I am willing to wait a bit more and see if we can get in on the play test version...let us give it a couple weeks.

Hey that's cool...waiting for the rules revision sounds like a wise move, and it seems like your dance card is full with all the things you are involved with around here! :D

That sounds good Ray. I'll wait and see how things are going when the revised rules come out and you're ready to go.

I'm so busy these days I don't know if I'll have enough time.

This is a really cool thread!
I have been running an old school Trek campaign for a few years now bouncing around systems as diverse as BESM, Hero and finally WNMHGB. I made a bunch of minis for it. They are free on this site. I hope they are of some use to you and you enjoy them.

I also have some retro future minis that I also use for my trek campaign. They are on RPG Now.

Now that this game has been released and is fully compatible with Labyrinth Lord I have a few questions. Since this game is basically Star Trek with the serial numbers filed off I am primarily interested in using it to run an Abrams-verse Trek game. I'm wondering through what the Star Trek analogues are to the races in the core rulebook? What races in the game match up to the races in Star Trek essentially. Should I leave all their ability mods the same from the book to match up with the proper Star Trek racial analogue?

Also, has anyone done any writeups for ships and equipment from Star Trek for use with the game?

Don't worry, mate, you'll find that when you get the book/pdf, the analogues are all VERY obvious. Take a look at the Taurans:

* tall and strong with pointed ears and a technologically-advanced society
* a copper-based metabolism that gives their skin a greenish tinge
* developed a machine-like logic that suppresses emotions

No guesses for what they're an analogue of. ;)

I just want to make sure I'm guessing correctly as to who each is an analogue of. I took Taurans to be Vulcans.

More to come as time permits; off to bed now.
