Whilst we're waiting is there anything else we can sort out? Dice rolls, for instance. I'm quite happy for the GM to roll on my behalf but I know others prefer automated stuff. Are there any house rules we should be aware of? What about character death and inheritance? Etc.

DOnt have any rules for death, inherritence is still a one-timething

There is one thing I do like to use though, any armor worn by a PC weighs half as much.

I'd really like to play in this if you have room. Something other than a fighter type as I have those running already, you do seam to be using AEC so maybe dice permitting, an elf mage otherwise a straight elf as class. Anyway no problems if you are full up already.

Great, so is it each stat 3d6 in the order you roll them or arrange to taste or what? Your happy with us rolling real dice at home for this?

Yes 3d6, and Im okay with you rolling from home, I use the honor system until I see consistant rolls that are too high

I'm surprised the game thread isn't created yet. Maybe Dan is on vacation, or just really busy?

Also, you could try the user: austrodavicus -I think he's a moderator here. He might be able to set up a game thread; however, I am not sure about that.

How do you want us to calculate our starting HPs?

Are you using AEC's "advanced Hit Dice" rules? (pg.21 AEC)
