Grimes spider crawls to get the rope. It takes a good two turns (20 minutes) and that gets a roll.

Grimes is just finishing getting the rope when down the hall comes a giant blob of black muck. It takes nearly the entire width of the hall and is coming for you!

The good news is that it probably won't be able to charm Furuk

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes points at the blob and says in his best calm tone "Mmmm... that doesn't look too good, does it?" He glances at the muck, then behind us, then at the muck and he says "Might be a good idea to get everyone climbing back across." And he says to the group in general "do you think the thing is dumb enough to come up to the edge here? Perhaps I could stand here on the edge and when he gets really close, I jump up and hopefully he plunges over the edge. Whaddaya think?"

If no one has a good plan, Grimes will shrug and start climbing back across, offering to run the rope between the discs again.

Dieter - Mage

Of course, it appears after you've brought the rope back over.

OCC: What range is the slime at?

It's 60' away and closing. It will be there in one turn.

It just took Grimes two turns to remove the rope, it will likely take at least that long to replace it.

Dieter - Mage

Shae, it might be wise to use lob a ball of your own fire also...
Dieter will cast fireball at the black ooze.

Theo, strike a torch!!

Dandy, Dwarf Cleric

"Who's got some oil we can hurl at it 'n burn?!"

With a cry, Dandy raises Whelm above his head and strikes it on the ground, sending its shockwave towards the moving black muck.

OOC: No idea if it these things can be stunned, worth a try.

The Black Pudding edges closer.

Dieter fires off a fireball Fireball damage [6d6] = 20. The pudding pauses for a second and continues on, singed.

Dandy smashes Whelm into the ground Saving throw [1d20] = 5. The black pudding stops oozing for a bit but is still there. It seems to ooze sideways a bit, then up one wall then sits there. It is clearly stunned.

Castinus widens his eyes in amazement at the blob. He then fires a pair of arrows it the mess with his bow of doubling.

Arrow deducted.

Is it up the wall enough we could rush past it?
