I am pretty sure something is coming up the hallway, something unnatural. Dieter says in a whispered voice to the others, with that he will torch the line of power he laid and move backward while he watches.

KALVAIN nods to both Furuk and Dieter, "I will use the power of LAW! to detect the presence of evil..."

Dandy Dwarf Cleric (going back a few posts) heals the Pally's arrow wound, prays for the new spells, then - if there's time - sleeps.

If Dandy is awakened, he will ready himself - aligning to the hallway so he could possible get a toss with his hammer first.

KALVAIN (paladin)

...looks back to those who are awake and signals with four fingers, points to the dead archers and then slowly rolls one arm over the other a few times to indicate that four cultists are slowly approaching the entrance.

KALVAIN then as quietly as possible moves to wake up those that are still sleeping to ready them for the encounter. He loads his crossbow takes a spot by one of the fires. He indicates that he will throw a large amount of green powder on the fire once the cultists approach to blind them before firing his crossbow.

((OOC: Where is everyone in the room? Is everyone near one of the fires? Is the group split at each fire? Is everyone in front of the two 'hallways' with the fires?))

Maeglin's eyes open, and he scans the dark passageway. "What do you see? Anything here is likely to be dangerous."

As the paladin and orc prepare themselves, Maeglin flexes his fingers to prepare them for spell casting. Showtime might be coming up, and this room doesn't offer much in the way of a fighting retreat.

Four cultists come up the tunnel, apparently done with sneaking. They are quickly joined by two more: six in all. They carry maces which cast long shadows from the light of the twin tunnels. They identify you as non-cultists in an instant and shout for revenge of their fallen brethren while they attack.

You are not surprised, what are your actions?

Anadrea

Has her long sword out ready to face them

Let the red dawn surmise
What we shall do,
When this blue starlight dies
And all is through.

Dandy Dwarf Cleric throws his hammer at one and prepares his shield for defense until the hammer returns.
