Two arrows? In one round? I didn't think that was possible.

Meringered will stay clear from the melee for now as things seem to be under control. He observes any strange or unusual behavior from his foes, however.

Perhaps he has Castinus' bow. ;)

Tret Regnants, rogue

Tret smiles at his success and lunges after another baboon with his blade.

Ah - could be some AD&D coming through there - sorry! He will fire one if that's all he can of course!

Combat round 3

Party wins initiative.

Tethir knocks an arrow and fires at the retreating goblin (G1), but his shot misses.

Tret rushes forward and swings his sword at the closest baboon (B2), landing a crushing blow (6 hp dmg). The creature lets out a wail then starts gnashing its teeth.

Neither Soldath nor Jörg declared actions, so the DM autopilots them. Soldath comes forward, taking a stab with his dagger, but misses. Jörg does likewise with his axe.

Harn struggles to his feet. He can attack next round.

Athelstan steps in with Chrysomer, finishing off B2 (7 hp dmg). The baboon collapses to the ground in a bloody heap.

Old Anja emerges from hiding and swings her staff at the retreating goblin (G1), but she misses.

Meringered holds back. Note to self: have something sneak up on this cautious cleric and give him a good wallop!

The remaining baboon (B1) swings his club at Athelstan again (d20: 1 = critical miss). It misses Athelstan entirely, hitting one of the goblins G2 (2 hp dmg).

Anja's foe (G1) retaliates with his short sword, hitting the aged cleric (2 hp dmg).

The second goblin enraged after being clubbed by an idiot baboon, swings his sword to in retaliation (d20: 1 = critical miss). The sword flies out of his hand and into the back of his companion (G1), killing the creature (4 hp dmg). G1 dies with a cowardly shriek.

B1 and G2 remain.

Suddenly, a door in the gully opens and three more goblins with bows enter the fray. "What's all this now?" one shouts.

The first goblin (G4) fires an arrow at Tret for 5 hp dmg.

The second (G5) fires at Athelstan for 4 hp dmg.

The third (G6) fires at Anja, but misses.

One baboon and four goblins remain. Map to follow. In the meantime, you've all rounded the first bend. The new goblins are at missile range. The others are in melee range. Tethir can fire at anyone he pleases. Bad guys only, please. :)

hit point totals
Soldath 9/10 as human, 24/24 as werewolf
Athelstan 12/25
Tret Renegats 13/18
Harn Hammerhand 12/30
Meringered 4/9
Tethir 9/12
Anja 16/22
Jörg 16/25

Actions? Don't forget to deduct any missiles used.

Athelstan - Fighter

Athelstan charges the nearest Baboon or goblin, in that order. He'll swing Chrysomer like he's harvesting wheat.

Tethir - Elf

Getting a bit annoyed with his inaccuracy he will fire again - at any bow-carrying goblin.

(As I am going away) assuming he survives the battle - he will raid the goblins bodies for arrows to fill up his quiver.

Tret, rogue

Tret will move to finish off the baboon he's already injured. The goblin that shot him is next!
