Well after no replies. I think I might make the items on the map (coffins, stairs, etc) black vs. light blue. I think they get "lost" on the map.

I agree with the "lost" statement. Either differing shades of blue for the foreground and background or completely different colors would help the elements stand out more.
Ok, so after 48 hours straight of staring at the map I'm not going crazy!
