Chill 1e?

Any chance of a reprint/clone of Chill 1e?

I really liked it back in the day for horror/supernatural gaming. I am not familiar with the second edition, if that keeps the same background and mechanics there may be no point to a 1e resurrection.

With Goblinoid now publishing Timemaster and Rot World it would seem to make sense to issue a few more action table games.

Just thinking....

I definitely plan to release more action table games. In fact there are two more in development even now. I haven't investigated the matter very closely, but it's unclear who owns CHILL or whether it is a property that's for sale or not. I'm not sure it would make much economical sense to pursue it to tell you the truth, but who knows. In any case a "clone" is not on the horizon, but in the long term I do want to tackle more horror themes with the system.

Thanks. Glad to hear more AT games are in consideration. I understand the reasons for the unlikely rebirth of Chill. Bummer, but put your energy where you think you will actually get a return on investment.

Am I correct in remembering that 2nd ed Chill was done by Mayfair games?
Running: Arizona Territory 1873 (FATE Old West pbp), The Northwest Barony (Labyrinth Lord pbp)
Playing: Night's Dark Terror (Labyrinth Lord pbp)

Yep, and they still sell 2e PDFs but I heard someone else bought the rights to CHILL at some point so I'm not really sure what the deal is.

Uhh... nope. You're thinking of a supplement for the 1st ed. called "Evenings of Terror."

Her jugs are actually a little subdued in that pic.

http://www.supergeniusgames.com/uncateg ... d-edition/

In 2009, Super Genius Games tried to raise funds online to publish a 3rd edition of Chill. The fund drive failed, and 3rd edition was never produced.

At some point, the game producers were "Otherworld Games," but whether they were geniuses or otherworldly, their efforts, alas, came to naught. Meanwhile, 1st edition can be found at various file download sites online (is it illegal to share an abandoned, out-of-print property?). Troll and Toad is out of it, Noble Knight Games is out of both the editions, and I wasn't able to pull up the Amazon.com listing.

Orphyte, Inc., who bought out Pacesetter's stock, has many of the modules available but has sold out of the game itself.
