The other swings at Pax monster attack [1d20] = 11 missing.

Thurwin fires off a bolt Thurwin energy bolt blessed [1d20+1] = 18+1 = 19, dmg [1d3+1] = 2+1 = 3 wounding the prone bugbear.
The gnome cleric Calmert mace blessed [1d20+1] = 14+1 = 15, dmg [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7 crunches bugbear under his weapon.
Calthas longbow blessed [1d20+3] = 9+3 = 12, dmg [1d8+1] = 2+1 = 3 Calthas wounds the wounded bugbear.
Effric Effric scimitar blessed [1d20+2] = 20+2 = 22, dmg [1d8+2] = 1+2 = 3 finishes him off.
Tavin Tavin bastard sword blessed [1d20+1] = 19+1 = 20, dmg [2d4+1] = 4+1 = 5 executes Sting the Scorpion on the prone bugbear, finishing him off too.

The bugbears are all dead.

Had my own (and unexpected) internet connection issues sorry all.

Pax will loot the bodies of these fell beasts for any valuables.

Hums along the tune without really knowing it as he searches the bodies of the Bugbears, the Goblins that ran out first, and then makes his way into the kitchen to search it.

Wiping his sword on the nearest bugbear: Might be more about... He'll retrieve his star and wander off with Calmert to search the kitchen.

The bugbears just encountered have 12PP and 22GP on their persons.

The goblins have a combined 8CP, but their bugbear-chef masters have 120GP and 36SP.

The kitchen is dirty and full of litter, but has been used of late. Ashes are in both fireplaces on the west wall. The long trestles which run down the center of the room are filled with earthenware dishes and food scraps. Four barrels stand along the south wall (two barrels contain water, one beer, and one wine). Some large blackish sausages are strung over the ceiling arches. Heaps of old rags and skins are piled helter-skelter in all the corners; this place is apparently used as a camp as well as a mess hall.

The pantry area to the northeast likewise shows evidence of use. The shelves are filled with unappetizing foodstuffs, plus sacks of millet, beets, and meal.



The new group of bugbears came from the corridor heading south.

With his mace & shield at the ready, the Gnome carefully makes his way to the area (226) around the corner to the South... just to have a peek around the corner to look into that area.

Thurwin - Wizard

Thurwin looks about, quite satisfied at the outcome. "Nice work, men. That could have gone much worse." He points toward the food pantry and says "Let's see if any of this is useful to us and we can supplement our rations with this fare." He taps his staff on the floor and says "My magics are exhausted for the day. I'd recommend that we withdraw, perhaps to the room where we engaged that cad Feldrin. I'd imagine this larder is frequented by others, and they'd be very displeased to see this."

OOC: I say we loot what food we can, and then trash this place and spoil what's left. No sense in leaving anything of use for the dwellers of this place.
