Starships & Spacemen 2e for a Star Trek game?

Now that this game has been released and is fully compatible with Labyrinth Lord I have a few questions. Since this game is basically Star Trek with the serial numbers filed off I am primarily interested in using it to run an Abrams-verse Trek game. I'm wondering through what the Star Trek analogues are to the races in the core rulebook? What races in the game match up to the races in Star Trek essentially. Should I leave all their ability mods the same from the book to match up with the proper Star Trek racial analogue?

Also, has anyone done any writeups for ships and equipment from Star Trek for use with the game?

Just from a quick overview of the book (just got my physical copy today) this is how I would translate the races to trek:

Andromedans - Betazoid
Daelans - Andorians
Dreipeds - Edosians
Gorrans - Klingons
Hykhot - Caitian (Maybe)
Rigel - ???
Taurans - Vulcan

It's worth noting not all of them have Classic Trek analogues (you need to be thinking much more of Classic Trek and TAS when it comes to these than TNG or later); some are the creations of the Indiegogo backers who pledged at the appropriate level and so don't necessarily transfer over.

And Gorrans are the Trek Gorns (unsurprisingly):

Taurans are Vulcans (pointed ears, strong, copper-based metabolism, machine-like logic)
Zangids are Klingons (aggressive, like the Mongols, were allied recently with the Videni, use barbed shortswords, etc.)
Videni are Romulans (biologically similar to Taurans but scheming, aggressive, have cloaked ships, etc.)
Andromedans are (loosely) Andorians (blue skin, white hair, multiple genders, the Aenar subspecies have telepathic powers)
Dreipeds are Edosians (the whole three arms and three legs thing)

Gorrans actually emulate the Gorn.

Yeah I figured a direct relationship for the Gorn and Gorrans , but if you wanted to map and use them for TNG Klingons it would probably work (just have to ignore some of the descriptions :)).

Anyone know what the "backer created " races were? There were 4 Admirals $150 level.

Mario Ries = Gorran

Robert Saint John = Dreiped

James Maliszewski = Hykhot

The fourth Admiral opted not to submit a race and requested that I choose, so I left in the Daelans which I originally was going to cut to make room for new contributions. I like the Daelans though, so kept them.

Dreipeds are (sort of) the Edosians
