DM screen

Postby Pat » Thu Dec 16, 2010 3:19 am

There's two Labyrinth Lord DM screens available for download, both designed to be used with the Savage Worlds Customizable GM Screen, but you could presumably paste it to card stock or something like that.

This one I didn't author, it was made for the Advanced Edition Companion: http://swordandsanity.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html

The other one I did author, it's only got straight Labyrinth Lord without any AEC stuff. You need to download the Microsoft Word file and the Souvenir font from the following two links.

That one would be me! ;) I am planning to expand it with a few new panels in the very near future. Thanks for posting a link for everyone! Here is another over at Google Docs.

@Magnus

Your DM Screen was one of the first resources I found when I begun using Labyrinth Lord.
Still using it...thanks!

Can someone make Pat's screen into a pdf? I'm getting some weird formatting issues when I open it in OpenOffice, and if someone could save me the trouble of editing, I'd be mighty grateful.

Nice DM screen! Looks like it formats a little funky to me as well, but not hard to tweak. (The tough thing is always deciding what goes onto the DM screen and what gets left off...)

That's why I just use my giant binder of DM Stuff. I have my own pages of charts, along with Shane's screen up front, with all sorts of random tables and whatnot filling up the back. Besides, I roll in front of my players, except for in the case of thief skill type stuff. It's scarier for them, that way. :twisted:

When I run a "cut-throat" game I roll in front of the players, but in general I run a more "kinder, gentler" style with rolls behind the screen. I think the fact that my demographic is roughly 50% female, and the girls are more into "role" than TPK ... it's just different than my old high school buddies where we would kill characters and run off into the other room to roll up new ones so we could jump back into the adventure.

Even when I'm rolling in front of the players, I use a screen to keep my maps and notes hidden.

I'll get this converted in the next week or two - I have to figure out how to generate PDF's for another project, so I can do this at the same time.

I'm actually working on a screen, too. It will be straight LL, with no AEC stuff included (except where the rules overlap). I've still got a little space here and there and trying to figure out the best way to lay things out. I should be able to post something by the weekend, hopefully.
