Hal-Elves are a cross between Elves & Humans. They find it difficult to fit into either society and often choose a life of adventure. They are 5 1/2 feet tall and average 150 pounds. They have the pointed ears of their Elvish parent. They can detect secret doors as Elves, and retain resistance to a ghouls touch. (+4 Save)
Half-Elves have 60' infravision.
Half-Elves have some of the magical ability of their Elvish parent, but it is not as strong. They gain a level of spell-casting ability at every odd level. (1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15)
They can wear armor & still cast spells as Elves. They can fight with any weapon. Half-Elves typically speak common, elf, gnoll, hobgoblin & orc.
A Half-Elf must have either a STR or INT of 13+ to gain a +5% XP bonus. If both STR & INT are 13+, they gain a 10% XP bonus.
