Northeast Passage

The party sloshes up the northeast passage, passing the unconcerned lion-eagle-lady. You don't go too far before Dieter INT [1d20+5] = 4+5 = 9 Dieter notices something slimy that isn't what they've encountered before. It looks like a green slime lurking just underneath the surface ahead.

Castinus lights a torch. "Watch out," he cautions. "This stuff can be nasty."

As the green slime appears to be mostly in the water Castinus INT check [1d20] = 7, Castinus thinks that it might be difficult to burn. Foot deep water and wet-slimy walls are not a torch-friendly environment.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes points his short sword at it and says "Can we try to lure it out, then toss some oil or something on it, and fry it up?"

Dieter - Mage

I feared such a critter might be here. If we had some flesh we might be able to lure it up the wall to torch it. We could back up and risk me detonating a firewall in this area...
pointing to the slime.

OCC: Nice pic GA.

Einar, Thief

Einar nods at Grimes suggestion, "I'd rather the fireball be reserved. Oil does sound good. We might even be able to light it up in the water".

Great, how are you going to lure it out and who's going to do it? (And no fair having Furuk do it just because Craigers is taking a break :) )

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes looks about for something to toss at the slime. He looks at Dieter (since he's smarter than Grimes) and says "You suppose I could walk toward it and try to get it to come out? How fast can this slime move?"

OOC: Grimes is fine being bait as long as we have some torches and healing ready. It could go bad quickly.... Perhaps he could find something to poke it with, and then he'll leap back, and then the others can toss oil and torches at it. That's the best tactical stroke of genius I could come up with. Or perhaps we could toss Shae on the thing. She's light...

Dandy, Dwarf Cleric

Dandy pats about his belt pouches, a quizzical look on his face.

"Eh, not so much as a lick of oil. Have to fix that next time..."

Dandy will stand ready to heal if this goes south quickly.

Dieter - Mage

Careful Grimes, the cost of playing with the slime and failing is becoming one yourself. Turning to Dandy: Could you try to cure it of disease, I remember reading that they are a kind of disease/contagion.
