Morgan grips his bastard sword in two hands, ready for the negotiations to head south quickly.

Since the baddies have loosed their ranged weapons already, they are trying to close distance rather than stand and fight, so party gets ranged initiative.

Thurwin begins his spell. He puts his right hand under his left armpit and makes like a flapping chicken wing while incanting the words of power. Greenish-purple fog fills the space between you and the attackers. They (running in pursuit of the thief) run right into it. And stop and begin hurling.


The party is at P, the baddies are upchucking in the obvious area.

In the midst of his technicolor yawn, it appears that one of the bad-guys nods at Calthas' demands. They all drop their weapons as they drain their bellies.

Holding his spear at the ready, his dark flinty eyes peering over his shield, the dwarf soon lowers the tip of his weapon. His grim war-face turns to that of abject disgust at the visible, and soon olfactory, evidence of the spell's effect.

He'd rather deal with blood, gore, and viscera than the effluvium being liberally discharged just down the hallway from him. Plus, Bror is feeling a little cheated. He'd rather hack and hew his attackers dead than deal with them as prisoners. Less problems...

Thurwin winces at the sight and smell of the retching attackers. "I can dispel the cloud if you wish. It will take them some time to recover."

Thurwin addresses the ladies with the group "Do you recognize these men? Were they involved in your capture or imprisonment?"

OOC: I can dispel the cloud if you all want me to. Since we are on our way up, do we want to tie them up, take them to Hommlet with the women, or just turn them loose - having them loose around these former captives might be an issue.

Calthas is at the same time surprised by the power of bad smell, and disgusted by it. The elven warrior keeps his menacing stance and says, with a smirk: "Better take their dropped weapons first before dispelling the spell. I suggest that Bror takes charge of this."
