Local Public Library Games

Postby Aplus » Wed Sep 21, 2011 3:29 pm

Anyone ever run a game at a local public library? I've heard of the idea, and I'm interested in it. Although it seems like it has the potential to carry with it a unique set of issues.

If anyone has any experience to share concerning such a thing, please do.

Thanks!

I was in a 4e game about two years ago. Our library has meeting rooms we reserved. Free WiFi. Very nice. 8-)

This is how I started! Way back in the late '70s/early '80s there were two groups that played D&D in the conference room of our local public library. Bring your own coffee, and the big urn was all yours. Big table, comfortable chairs, no snacks. (It was the library after all. I was just glad to have the coffee!)

I recommend it highly, if you don't have the room at your own place.
