Grimes glances at the kelp chicks, then starts to follow the others spewing a stream of expletives "What the $^%#? Since when do we run from plants? We should have stayed and chopped em' into bits... stupid $%^#%%@^"

He follows the party, lamenting a missed opportunity to chop something up.

The party runs north and up the stairs. You find yourselves in a short hallway. There is a door to the east and one that ends the hall.

The door to the north is odd. It is made of some sort of metal rather than wood and has a long bar across the front of it. It opens to the north, it would seem.

It is quite different than the door to the east, which was of the strapped-oak variety which you've seen before in this place.

The door is metal and neither burns nor freezes Grimes' fingers. No traps are set off.

The door is very solid and very heavy. It will take at least two of you (or one flesh golem) to open it, the halfling surmises.

Number nine lumbers forward and pushes the bar on the door. You see the muscles strain and the door slowly opens. It looks really heavy.

Ten feet ahead of you is another door, which looks exactly the same. The ceiling and walls here seem smooth and glassy, as if they were melted at some point. The floor is covered in an artificial substance you don't recognize: one foot black and white tiles in a chessboard pattern. Number Nine, in opening the door, has stepped on them and they don't appear to be trapped in any way.
