Is there a limit to the amount of equipment that can be carried on a shuttle? Like, could the party carry 200 beam pistols or 500 robot dogs along with them on a shuttle?

*bump*

Also, the rules say that a shuttle can carry up to 50 people. Should that be 5 people? 50 sounds a bit much, especially since the crew complement of a destroyer is 20. I guess we really know how to pack 'em in there. :)

Depends on your source material. If you go by ST:TOS, then the Galileo could maybe seat 10 if you didn't mind getting close to each other. If you go by some of the Franz Joseph Designs material that made its way into SFB, then there are shuttles that could hold that many marines.

At the risk of quoting the obvious: two robot tanks, 5 landspeeders, 10 skycycles or 50 marines.

I guess it's a case of use your common sense based on the volume taken up. As a guideline, equipment ready to use probably takes up more than equipment packed away. So, you can carry less beam pistols in racks than in crates. Applying these, you could probably fit 10 beam pistols in racks per person, or one robot dog.

Yes, based on the guidelines quoted above it is up to your judgement.
