Tavin - Monk

Tavin will pull out his bastard sword and attempt to peg the nearest ghoul with "threading the needle".

Morgan roars in rage, then swings his sword into the closest ghoul.

Calthas lets a curse slip his mouth and throws his bow away before grabbing his sword. He attempts to strike the nearest ghoul with it.

Through the Fire and Flames

INITIATIVE baddies [1d6] = 4 party [1d6] = 1

The flaming ghouls attack again!
The first redoubles his attack on the paladin monster attack [1d20] = 12 monster attack [1d20] = 9 monster attack [1d20] = 16 missing twice but getting a good tooth in with his bite. dmg [1d3] = 1 Save vs. paralysis! [1d20] = 19 Morgan fights off the effects of paralysis successfully.
The second flaming ghoul turns his attention on which one [1d6] = 1 Effric monster attack [1d20] = 14 monster attack [1d20] = 19 monster attack [1d20] = 2 getting in two claw swipes but missing with his chompers. dmg [1d3] = 3+[1d3] = 1 Save vs. paralysis! [1d20] = 18 He too resists the paralytic effects!

The ghouls take more damage from the fire! dmg [1d8] = 8, [1d8] = 3
Morgan's foe ails but hey trundle on!

Thurwin drags away Fr Redmond
Effric swings his scimitar Effric scimitar [1d20] = 6 but misses. The wooziness of the paralytic effect perhaps throwing off his aim.
Tavin threads the needle threading the needle [1d20] = 14 dmg [2d4] = 5 finishing off Effric's foe!
Image
Morgan swings his sword Morgan attack [1d20+3] = 11+3 = 14 dmg [2d4+3] = 3+3 = 6 and with a mighty yell sunders his foe.

The ghouls are dead, their corpses burning in the hall filling the area with odd lighting and the smell of roasting flesh. They have no treasure to speak of.

You come to a branch north: a double width passage. This passage is evidently one of importance, for it is plastered and painted with the evil scenes typical of the Temple.

Actions?

Hit points and marching order
Effric 6/10 <4/1>
Morgan 17/18
--Calthas 13/13
Tavin 9/9 <>
Father Redmond 10/13 <>
Caydon 11/11
--Thurwin 5/5 <sleep/sleep>

"Nice work, men," Morgan says, wiping the remains of his foe from his bastard sword. He winces as he examines the bite on his arm, moving it back and forth to mitigate the pain. "Fr. Redmond. Let's attend to him, shall we?"

OC: Morgan can lay on hands, but I don't think he has anything that will help ghoul paralysis. Anyone else?

OOC: Effric can cast CLW, but it may be better to just wait out the paralysis since he did not lose a lot of HP, and that is his one 2nd-level spell slot.

Thurwin - Wizard

Thurwin shakes his head at the carnage. "Is everyone okay? That was terrible. Perhaps we should withdraw to the upper level for a short time to attend to our wounds and get the good Father back on his feet."

OOC: Maybe we step back to the room with the stairs that we came down and post a guard and rest for a bit.

It doesn't help the party to carry him that Father Redmond was stuck frozen with one hand brandishing his holy symbol of Zagyg and the other scratching his crotch.

OOC: Sorry for not being there for a while. I just lost the reflex of checking the forum daily. I'm still interested and will try to be there more often.
OOC: I have not added the 2XP as I wasn't participating.

Calthas takes the time to put a string back to his bow. "Yeah, we might as well rest and prepare for the kind of adversity we are about to meet here. It would be better if we can have a few tricks up our sleeves in case we make the same kind of encounter in the future." he says.

Tavin - Monk

Tavin casts CLW on Effric. I don't feel that we need to rush, so rest is always welcome.
