Sources for Small Dungeon Maps

Postby Koren n'Rhys » Tue Apr 05, 2011 1:16 am

I absolutely love the style of Dyson's maps. Not only are they great pieces of art, but they are also a nice usable size. Are there any other blogs or sites for neat smallish maps like those? I don't really want one page dungeon type things, just the smaller maps I can stock myself and fit into my campaign.

I appreciate any links you can come up with!

Holy Moly! I obviously need to take a nice leisurely stroll through that thread, those maps are fantastic! I did see he's got them archived in a gallery here: http://www.paratime.ca/cartography/index.html for easy perusal.

Thanks for the tip, it's just what I was looking for.

Not only are they amazing maps, they are mostly CC licensed so you can use them in other published products.

But not in any OGL product (like Labyrinth Lord products) because the CC license is viral and so is the OGL, and they end up in conflict.

Don't tell any lawyers on me then. I used one in an OGL project. <GASP> I'm generally very careful about trying to make sure I do these things 'by the book' and my reading of the relevant licenses did not seem to confilct that way.
