Part 9 - The Temple Again

Thurwin stands alert, surveying the carnage. He mumbles "Nice work, orcs."

OOC: Let's check the ring on the troll (Tavin appears to be doing this) and then maybe continue on through 202?

Calthas keeps his bow in hand, and makes sure that everything is as it looks and the party is not deceived by appearances. He will poke at the hydra's body and the other dead corpses.

Calthas verifies that the hydra is indeed dead, as are the other beings.

Despite Bror's warning, nothing sinister befalls Tavin as he removes the ring from the rubbery hand, which does not have the melted appearance of the rest of the troll. The military fork clangs to the ground as the monk inspects the ring. The ring is some sort of worked metal with sigils imprinted on it. The ruby set in the ring is beautiful and, as the monk looks deeply into it, appears to have a flaw in the center that looks like a dancing flame as the light catches it.

Thurwin looks down the corridor while the others inspect their finds.

Could be magic by the look of it... he hands the ring to Thurwin.

Thurwin examines the ring, noting it's craftsmanship and trying to discern something of it's properties (if any) If no one wants to carry it, he'll put it on for now. He points toward the first passage to the left outside of 202 and says "Maybe we go that way first?

Effric watches the route south while the others search.

"Shall we move on?" asks Calthas, ready to continue.

The party heads to investigate the new area.



Calthas urges the party on so Effric keeps watch while the others follow Thurwin's lead.

Boxes, crates, and barrels line the walls of this 30'x 20' chamber. Spilled con- tents — flour, grain, broken crockery, and who knows what else — are mixed with old bones, broken furniture, splintered wood, rags, and ordure up to a depth of at least a foot. The whole area stinks of troll.

Thurwin carefully and as quietly as possible pokes through the refuse with his staff, looking for any valuables.

OOC: The door? We prob want to listen first. We haven't cleaned this area out, so we need to be cautious.
