I have had considerable luck running games using SKYPE in the past, and am now interested in starting a new retro campaign. The ruleset is negotiable, but I would prefer using a retro clone so that everyone could have a common, freely available, reference point for the rules. LL is certainly a viable candidate, although I am considering others as well.
The campaign is likely going to be a minimalist homebrew setting, incorporating adventure elements from particularly interesting published products: Stonehell (by Michael Curtis), and Skull Mountain (Faster Monkey Games), for sure. I'm trying for a definitively old-school style.
I already have 3-5 potential players, so I don't need a landslide of candidates, but I won't turn anyone away unless the number becomes clearly too large. Although I'm an old-time gamer myself, some of my players are not. I thought it might be nice to mix in some experience with the new blood I currently have.
Right now the group is pretty diverse, covering a wide range of genders, play-styles, rpg experience, and age. I'd love to make it even more diverse if possible. I've ALMOST convinced my wife to play, but she would feel more comfortable if she heard other female voices, so you ladies are particularly welcome, as are couples. I hope that didn't come off as creepy. While creeps abound among gamers, I'm not a stalker and, as a happily married man, I'm definitely not looking for a date. As an old fat guy, I probably wouldn't get one anyway.
