ICE KINGDOMS

Postby peacekeeper_b » Sat Aug 13, 2016 12:20 am

My dearest barbarians and berserkers,

The Ice Kingdoms is a fantasy setting inspired by and designed for old school RPG’s. We want to recreate the ‘feel’ of old school games and their rules, and we are creating materials that are compatible with several current systems that ‘retro-clone’ those older games. Ice Kingdoms is compatible with OSRIC and For Gold & Glory, and our books can also be used with Swords and Wizardry, Basic Fantasy Role Playing, and Labyrinth Lord with only very minimal conversion, as well as the original editions which these games are based. We plan to eventually produce versions of the setting that are compatible with other popular systems, such as Pathfinder and 3rd edition rules.

Our kickstarter is still active and we recently crossed the $2000 mark. I have enjoyed the quest so far and have worked with some fabulous people getting the Thanelands to this point. But we need to spread the word as far and as wide as we can. Aside from the preview art and documents on our facebook page, there is also a wealth of information on the setting at our main site. Please share our story and our setting as well as our web sites.

And if you can, please support us on kickstarter.

I am so excited. Larry Elmore promoted the Ice Kingdoms. Pretty cool to have my creation seen by a legend and to have him recommend it to people.

Greetings everyone. I am proud to introduce our campaign setting for old school role playing. After our Kickstarter last summer and a few months or rewrites, editing, layout and hard work we can finally say that the Ice Kingdoms is now available for sale. You can get the core book and the first adventure at http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/peacekeeper_b

We have some great content written by James M. Ward and Chris Lites with contributions from Moses Wildermuth and Scott Morgan as well as Caleb Congrove and many more. Some fantastic artwork by David Newbold, Marko Radulovic, RW Stenberg, Sayu González, Cory Shonuff Gelnett and more. Written to be compatible with the various editions of D&D from original to 1E and 2E (and all clones) and with notes on how to use with 3rd and 5th edition.

The Ice Kingdoms is a sword and sorcery epic campaign set in a world based on Viking and Greek mythology merged with the classic aspects of R.E. Howard's Conan stories. Please check us out.
