One of the bonuses of using Wordpress - PDF storage is included (although there is a storage restriction of 3 gigs per blog unless you pay for extra space). The downside is we don't have that awesome epaper widget to let people view the PDFs from within the site.

I just posted some more spells of thread & rope at my blog. I'm going to try to create a full sequence from 1st to 9th level - which is proving very fun! Currently there are 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th and 9th level spells in the series.

Following Dyson's (very inspiring) lead ;)...

Last week at The City of Iron:
  • The first in a new series of spells aimed at creating an elementalist magic-user sub-class: high-level elemental summoning spells. I've got lots more spells coming in this series, so hopefully a pretty nice spell list should build up for elementalists.
  • Some thoughts on an expanded thief class, combining options from the AEC assassin and the 1st edition AD&D thief-acrobat into a single class. And a full (first draft) write-up of the class as a PDF here.

By the way, I've got the third and final batch of 'spells of thread & rope' lined up too, but I'm currently lacking a 5th level spell to complete the sequence! If anyone has any ideas...

Thanks bat! :D

I'm really enjoying your blog too! When I first saw it I thought "wow how on earth does he come up with a new spell / magic item every day?", but now I've started on the slippery slope of making up sequences of new spells it's hard to stop!

The last 2 weeks at The City of Iron (not enough happened in each week individually :)):
  • More new spells for my elementalist class (which has a pretty well fleshed-out spell list now... just waiting for a player to roll one up!): a couple of 1st level spells and some spells for planar travel.
  • Session report for the second session of my Labyrinth Lord game, wherein the party are welcomed into the cosy home of a faun who turns out to be rather demented.
  • A few snippets of campaign background info in the form of rumours and hearsay. I intend to send the players regular rumours of this sort, to give them some glimpses of the wider world, and to feed them potential adventure hooks that they can choose to follow up.
