Shae - Fighter/Mage
"CASTINUS!" Shae screams! Ditching as much weight in armour and gear as fast as she can, Shae downs her Potion of Polymorph. Diving in, her lithe form transforms into a Great White Shark! Time to go all "feeding frenzy" on these seaweed witches! Nobody messes with my Castinus!

Making Waves

INITIATIVE baddies [1d6] = 3 party [1d6] = 1

Kelpie 1 drags Castinus deeper into the water. Castinus doesn't seem to mind, smiling as he drowns. dmg [2d10] = 8

Kelpie 2 focuses her charms on Einar. Saving throw [1d20] = 7 A second thief willingly and happily jumps into the water. He sinks beneath the surface with a smile.

Shae drinks her potion of polymorph, turning into a shark. She leaps into the drink to attack the Kelpies.

Dieter uses his Mask of Terror on the Kelpies, looking at Kelpie 1. Saving throw [1d20] = 7 She flees below the surface, dragging Castinus with her.

Dandy throws Whelm Dandy Whelm throw [1d20+6] = 20+6 = 26 max damage!

Grimes grabs Wave and leaps in, attacking the same Kelpie! Grimes Wave attack [1d20+5] = 13+5 = 18 Wave dmg [1d10+3] = 6+3 = 9

Furuk (autopilot) fires his crossbow at the same Kelpie Furuk crossbow [1d20+2] = 6+2 = 8 but the bolt veers as it hits the water and misses.

Both thieves are in the water! Shae is a shark and will attack next round. Wave is a powerhouse in Grimes' hands. Whelm returns to Dandy for another throw.

For clarification, Kelpie 1 is below water, having been frightened by the mask of terror. Kelpie 2 is still at the surface, dragging down Einar.

Grimes, filled with the fighting spirit of Poseidon, surges forward to attack the Kelpie dragging Castinus. If/when he kills the thing, he'll quickly try to drag him back to the top. No drowning on this halfling's watch...

Kelp! I'm drowning!

Kelpie 1 continues to drag down Castinus dmg [2d10] = 4 who continues to drown, happily.

Keplie 2 drags Einar to the depths dmg [2d10] = 17. Einar takes too deep a breath!

Dandy throws Whelm at Keplie 2 Dandy Whelm throw [1d20+6] = 15+6 = 21 dmg [1d6+5] = 5+5 = 10

Shae attacks Kelpie 1 in Great White Shark form Shae shark attack [1d20+1] = 20+1 = 21 Critical HIT! The Kelpie dies, losing her shape and becoming a clump of ribbony kelp.

Grimes, devotee of Poseidon, turns his attention on Kelpie 2 Grimes Wave attack [1d20+5] = 13+5 = 18 Wave dmg [1d10+3] = 7+3 = 10 who expires in an explosion of seaweed.

The spell on Castinus is broken! He struggles underwater, his armor and weapons pulling him down, when he is amazingly saved by a fish he would rather fear, as Shae pushes him to the surface, and to air.

Grimes pulls Einar to the surface too. He's swallowed more water than Castinus and his meager constitution wasn't enough in the water. His blueish face and purple lips do not move with the indication of breath!

Grimes nods at Castinus recovery, but gets a grim look when he surveys Einar. Thinking back to the first time we lost him he says "Oh, no... not again buddy." And he turns to Dandy.. "Can Benelus help our buddy out, Dandy?"

Grimes will stand by, clenching his fists in anger. Some bad guy is going to taste the points of Wave, compliments of Aqua-Halfling!

Dandy tends to the stricken Einar as quickly as possible. He'll start with a touch from the staff of healing and follow that up with a CLW.
