Soldath - Mage

Soldath will move with the group towards the gate trying not to be a straggler.

Igli does straggle. But only in the sense that he is going to ensure everyone gets in... if he get's one final chance at a goblin, well so much the better!
:D

Athelstan - Straggler

Aww, nuts. Athelstan will join forces with Igli to take up a rear guard to the bridge, helping herd the rest ahead of them. If any sleeping Goblins are on the way, if Igli doesn't kill them, Athelstan will, and then the two of us can go in together.

"Well Igli, it looks like we've got many Goblins to kill before bed time..."

Biz: MU

Bizenghast will proceed to 'terminate' any of the Goblins that are sleeping from her spell.

Sumo, if you look at the map, you'll see that three of the goblins are a darker shade of gray than the rest. They're still alive. Igli has declared his intent to kill the one in front of him. That leaves two for Biz. The sleeping goblins are lying in the bushes. Getting to them, and back, will require moving through terrain which will slow her down. Igli, Athelstan and Renardius have made clear their intention to herd everyone to the relative safety of the homestead as quickly as possible.

Are you sure you want to do this? Either way is fine with me, but your companions may have something to say about it.

And now, back to creating the map for next round. Yes, I think I'll use a letter D to denote the dire wolves heading up the river bank toward you...

ooc: I knew Igli was getting one, but I missed where the others were finishing them, so she'll be corralled to safety.

Day 8, Nytdain, Thaumont 8th, Dymrak Forest, banks of the Syereb River, Night, Combat Round 2

The warriors dispatch the remaining resistance while the rest of you scramble toward the gate.
Note: Those taking combat actions move at their combat rate. Those just running move at their normal movement rate. All in yards, of course. :D

Igli brings his axe down upon the goblin lying at his feet, killing it instantly, and spraying the creature's wolf skin garments with black blood. The dwarf ambles toward the bridge, waiting for Athelstan and Renardius to join him.

The last goblin on its feet turns to run, but before he can, Renardius, back on his feet, brings Smiter down on him. The goblin, skull crushed, slumps to the ground, lifeless.

As you cross the bridge, you see half a dozen or so goblins--mounted on dire wolves--charging toward you. They scream out another war cry as the thunder of drums echoes through the forest. Ahead of you the gate is wide open.

Quick! Before the wolves tear your throats out!

Athelstan - Fighter

To Renardius and Igli, as he starts jogging to the gate, chuckling: "Nice work friends, we've got them where we want them... now to rejoin our colleagues."
Athelstan will run to the gate, pausing in the path of the goblins and wolves, long enough for Igli and Renardius to get on the bridge, then he'll join them on the retrograde into the settlement.

OOC: Yes, retrograde. We don't retreat. We just regroup.
