What are these skills of which you speak? Might my character have some?

The background data I received, "Pull out sheet I and II", did not contain skills. Just background on the politics, wilderness adventures, calendar and a map. The other attachment was a larger map. Could I ask for anything I am missing? :D

Oops. I sent you two the wrong handouts. I'll post the proper ones in the new Maps and handouts thread I'm about to start.

Holy Fahrvergnügen! That adds a whole level of complexity. I hope I created my character right. (and after all that, hope he doesn't meet his maker after battle #1)

Technically a dwarf can use a long sword but not a battle axe? That just seems not right!
Looks like we have an interesting crew, I wonder if everyone's character is up?

It is silly. House rule: dwarves can use battle axes.

I appreciate everyone's patience with character creation. Yes, the information from the background section does add some complexity, but I hope it helps you flesh out and enjoy your character a little more. And while I too hope nobody's character dies in the first battle, just think: you'll have a much easier time writing their obituary!

Don't forget to have your character say a little something about him/herself in their own words.

Everybody's up. I'll assign some magic items and gold to you tonight, based on your class and background. After that, we'll get started in a few days.
