The orcs are dispatched post haste. Furuk briefly is caught in the web but is freed by his colleagues.

The orcs have no treasure to speak of: 12 coppers and a cheap gem (10gp). The ogres have 700gp and two scrolls on them. And a note in a language you can't read.

Theo begins to cry thinking of carrying the new sacks of gold but Karl spies a discarded cart with a broken wheel. They load it up and one acts as the wheel while the other pulls the cart. It's humerous but it should work. Einar's body goes in the cart.

With the new cart you think you can get to the outskirts of Wolford by midnight.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes laughs at Karl and Theo's ingenuity and congratulates them. "Nice work, men. You've again proven your worth. Let me help you with this burden."

Grimes will help bear the load of the cart as well, so as to lighten the load on these fellas. Grimes does feel that we should stop in the cover of the woods outside town to camp, then enter town in the morning, so as to avoid the seedy night dwellers. If everyone else feels differently, he's fine with whatever they decide.

He'll also hand the unreadable note to Dieter for safekeeping. "Wonder what this is about?"

Dieter - Mage

Dieter will agree with Grimes on entering the city in the morning. He'll take a look at the scrolls just recovered. When they camp for the night Dieter will take a closer look at the papers that were taken from the "mobsters" in the dungeon. Does it appear anyone else they have had business in town with are mentioned on the document?

(secret roll) From what Dieter can read, there are no other names you recognise. You think this might be written in some sort of Thieves' Cant, but don't know that for certain. If Einar were alive he could tell you.

Can Dieter make out the two scrolls?

I'm thinking we head directly to the church... let's get our comrade restored before spending a copper on ourselves.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes glances back at Einar's body and says "Yes, the church it is."

Furuk looks for something to use as a cover, in order to cover the contents in the cart. He helps the others in moving the cart and agrees that we should try to make it to the city.

The party doesn't make it as far as they wanted before exhaustion sets in. You get to the main road and set up camp in viewing distance from it. You rest for the evening, letting Theo and Karl snore away while various watches are made. (secret roll) The road seems unused at night and there are no disturbances.

Waking, the wagon is covered and it is a few hours journey to the town of Wolford. You make a beeline to the Shrine of Saint Garth of the Good Earth. Many people look at your doos use of a broken wagon, but are smart enough as not to inquire. A town guardsman begins to approach you when you see a familiar face, one of the guardsmen from the last time you were here, place a gauntleted hand on the shoulder of the guardsman and says something to him in a low voice as he smiles and lets you pass unmolested.

Father Dobrun is praying when you arrive. He looks up and delight fills his face. Ahh, so you have come back. I hope you've accomplished your task for Sir Taris and have destroyed that vile cult once and for all. I have good news: Your friends were revived by the Ceremony of the Raising of the Dead and are recovering their strength in one of the inns, so I'm told. It was a remarkable ceremony, I'm quite sad you missed it.

Serk and Oliver immediately help with the wagon, which Theo and Karl appreciate very much.

Father Dobrun continues, So what have you accomplished? Is the cult gone? Or are you here to make another donation to the work of Law? he finishes with a twinkle in his eye.

We are here to see if you can raise one of our friends that died in making this land safe.

The good Father's expression changes from happiness to shock. He directs Serk and Oliver to the wagon to fetch Einar from it. He looks at the corpse and touches it. Prepare him for the Ceremony of the Raising of the Dead, he commands them, and they leave post haste.

He turns to the party as realization sets in. You haven't been in to see Master Grüber yet, have you? This wagon has all of your belongings, doesn't it? Have you come straight from the Obsidian Heart's cult? You should tell Master Grüber immediately of your success. We will see to your companion. Unless there is something else you require? Or perhaps you wish to make a donation? he concludes with another glint.
