The year could be 2150-2200 (if the GM wishes to give a year, or if the PCs ask).

The nations of Earth have finally managed to leave their planet and travel among the 9 planets.
The nations still bicker among themselves.
Some nations have joined together: (Europe, UK have joined to form the EFU – European Federal Union), the USA, Canada, South America have also joined together AU (American Unions), Japan & China (UAC – United Asian Confederation).
These are just samples.

Currency: Credits (Cr). Starting money: 1500Cr (optional).

Robotic Ship Emergency Crew (RSEC): Ship Eng: 95%, Pilot ship: 90%.
These robots are basically ‘emergency crew’ in certain situations (repair/pilot).
They can take vocal commands, as well as commands from portable terminals and the ship’s bridge terminals. Some crew give them names, as they become familiar with them.

These are not combat orientated, but they do have a very ‘shocking’ defence mechanism.
It can discharge a very strong electrical field if it detects anyone harming it within 3 yards.
DAM: 1D10+2 (paralysed 2 turns).
Targets can make a CONx5 roll to negate the effects. Add a modifier of -10% on the CON roll, as the effect is very strong.
It can discharge the electrical field once per turn.
Anyone skilled in Mechanical and Electronics can repair the RSEC.
The person needs to roll once for each of the skills.

SPECIFICATIONS:
HEIGHT: 1.5 - 2 metres, WEIGHT: 20Kg.
It is cylindrical in shape, with ‘arms’ and other appendages to help in its duties.
ARMOUR: AP: 9. HP: 30.

SKILLS: Astrogation (5%), Climb (35%), Computers (25%), Craft (5%), Demolitions (00%), Dodge (DEX x 2), Drive (25%), Electrician (5%), Electronics (5%),
Engineering (00%), Evaluate (20%), First Aid (30%),Handgun (20%), Rifle (25%), Hand Weapon (15%, covers all melee weapons), Hear (30%), Hide (15%),
Jump (20%), Language Other (00%), Mechanics (20%), Move Silently (15%), Navigate (10%), Notice (25%), Piloting (00%), Research (25%).
Science: (Biology): 5%, Chemistry 00%, Medical: 05%, Physics: 00%, Throw: 25%, Unarmed: 50%.
These are just sample skills; other can be added.

Equipment & Weapons:
These can be taken from the sci-fi data I've submitted in the GORE sci-fi section.

I like this - good ideas, thanks. The AU / UAC / EFU all caught with me. :)

Robotic Ship Emergency Crew (RSEC): Ship Eng: 95%, Pilot ship: 90%.

I like this RSEC idea too.

Glad you found some of it useful.
When you have the time, check the rest of the GORE data I've submitted (zombie, fantasy, etc), hopefully you'll find something useful in those sections as well.

Re: GORE Sci-Fi

This document is an attempt to put some background information into the sci-fi shipwreck theme.

SPACE STATIONS:
There are at least 7 or more space stations placed around the various planets.
Mars: Phobos station.
Jupiter: Persephone station.
Earth: Zeus station.
Saturn: Aphrodite station.
Uranus: Hermes station.
Neptune: Europa station.
Venus: Callisto station.

As the various factions build stations and bases on or near planets, moons, asteroids; not all are noticed.

Pirates build bases on many asteroids.
Secret bases built by the various factions are also hidden on any number of asteroids or moons.
Bases are usually built to a good to high standard.
No one wants a decompression incident on their base/station.
Over the decades, the building standard of bases and stations has increased.

Security on space stations is usually tight.
No weapons are allowed; so any fights are usually brawls, using chairs, tables, etc.

SMUGGLING:
Weapons, drugs, etc, can be smuggled onto the various bases and stations.
Not a great amount, but some illegal items do leak through.
The black market cost can be high.

RESOURCES:
Earth’s natural resources are decreasing, and the population is increasing.
Mankind finally managed to build spacecraft to reach the stars.
The moon was first and from their, Mars.
There are a lot of mining bases around the various asteroid fields mining ores, water, etc.
Jupiter is mostly mined for gas, etc.

Over the decades, water, gas, ore, etc has been mined from the various planets, moons, and asteroids.
The work can be dangerous, but the pay is good (in some factions).
The EFU & AU normally pay their workers 100Cr-200Cr per day, depending on the work being done.

The UAC, MEC, and RSS, etc, pay anywhere from 50Cr-150Cr per day. These factions have been rumoured to use forced or slave labour.

There have been clashes in space between the various factions, which have been costly in both materials and people.
