The creature is a being from the Unknown, brought through to our world by 4th century druids who believed it was the god Lug. It hasn't been able to stay permanently - one reason why nobody can find a trace of "Nessie" when they go looking - but over the centuries different groups have tried to complete the rituals to let "Lug" and his minions in for good. Some of his minions are rather good: the giant ram-headed shapeshifting snakes called Cernunnos should give the PCs a scare and the Kralecht, "... an 8' tall, stick-thin man who has the head of a stag...", is very atmospheric. "Lug" itself looks fairly powerful: a venomous bite; multiple attacks; sixteen Evil Way disciplines and the ability to use Haywire automatically, but will generally try to avoid a confrontation with the PCs unless disturbed.
The S.A.V.E. envoys have to tackle a modern druidic cult, descendants of the original Dru-vid, who are up to the traditional no-good-at-all (sacrificing horses, murder, that sort of thing) in their attempt to bring "Lug" and his friends through from the Unknown. The adventure starts on a ship heading from New York and ends in an underground chamber, battling to stop the ritual.
If you have not played through it give it a go before you judge lol Its very fun.
