Looking for feedback

Postby prongbuck » Wed Jun 15, 2011 2:35 am

Recently I have been practising "finishing" my maps (I got jealous after seeing Dyson's work, so sue me ;) ). While I draw inspiration from his work I don't want to just rip off or copy his style so I have been working on my cross hatching skills and trying to come up with different variations. Any feed back, either in reply to this post or on the original blog post, is appreciated.

It has a partially transparent background so it looks nicer in my blog post, you can get/view the full sized non-transparent image here.

Excellent map. I like side-view maps. This one has a lot going on --old church, graveyard, abandoned tower/ruins, lake, river, waterfall, lots of dungeons-- it fuels my imagination!

Don't worry about copying someone else's style for now. Just keep drawing, you will eventually develop your own style.
