The party follows Caydon down the tight circling staircase to the small 10x10 room. He points out the doors and makes a motion to where he heard the sound from, the secret door to the west.

You listen.

Nothing.

You listen some more.

Nothing.

Suddenly you hear something from beyond the secret door. A lumbering something. Big. Clumsy. Strong. It crashes about and then silence again.

Actions?

Hit points and marching order

Thurwin - Wizard

Thurwin gets wide-eyed at the loud crashing noise and wordlessly looks at the others, with a "What now?" Look on his face.

OOC: What do you think, go the opposite way, or this way first?

Effric, Druid

"Let's go east, perhaps we will get a view of this creature another way."

Tavin - Monk

Umm... yes, east might be best first.

Father Redmond - Cleric

"I'm not sure that exposing our backs to whatever's in the west room is a good idea. Better have Calthas face it now while we know where it is than take the chance it comes out of its room behind us while we're dealing with an other threat."

He takes a pause then adds "Maybe it is time for another one of my famous auguries."

Calthas shows his doubt that him facing this thing alone is the best course of action. "Maybe your auguries will prove useful for once..." he answers to Father Redmond.

Thurwin - Wizard

Thurwin thoughtfully nods at Father Redmond's suggestion. "Yes, perhaps facing whatever this is now on our own terms might be better than having whatever it is surprise us later. And maybe we could draw it or them into a trap of sorts." Thurwin gets a worried look at the mention of Calthas going it alone and says "Uhh, I think it would be a bit better if we faced this challenge as a team rather than a single one of us."

Thurwin glances about to see the opinions of the others, and awaits the augury of Fr. Redmond.

Tavin - Monk

Your words are wise, let's see what it is. Tavin will prepare to move through the door and face whatever the lumbering thing is.

Father Redmond - Cleric

The wise father comes back from his trance with a worried look on his face. "My friends, their is a great beast behind this door. A large humanoid with skin a beigeish hue. If we confront it, the great Zagyg assures me that we will be victorious. But the battle will be fierce and our wounds many."

He takes a pause and adds "Hummm... the great god of humor also told me that our chances of success will be greater if young Calthas is in front." trying hard not to chuckle.
