Balfa takes the spear from Zavenorrin and proceeds to poke one of the urns with it. If he notices and seam he will try use the spear's tip as a leverage crowbar.

Balfa prods the left Urn with Zavenorrin's spear. He is able to get the tip under the lid and pry it off. It lands on the stone floor with a dull thud.
After a moment a black cobra snake rears it's head up and slithers angrily from the Urn looking to bite a party member. The snake is 6' long and it's hood has a purplish tint to it.

There is no chance for surprise in this case. Next I will roll round 1 initiative. What are your round 1 actions?

Zavenorrin grabs his bow and an arrow, and will shoot at first opportunity.

Balfa lets out a curse word and used the spear he is holding to jab at the overgrown ophidian.

Pulling his magic dagger and another dagger from his belt, Leon will let the guys with better armor tackle this, but he's ready to stab the thing if it comes his way.

WIS/Perception roll for Leon, roll 6 = success.
Leon as he looks to engage the cobra, notices when the snake slithered out of the Urn, a few gold coins also were carried up by the snake's scaly body and fell to the floor

Initiative rolls round 1
Party rolls 4, cobra rolls 2. The party watching the Urn carefully is first to react

Balfa is standing nearest he jabs at his with the spear he is holding, atk roll 2 misses badly as the snake slithers
Zavenorrin shoots an arrow, atk roll 18 hits!, for 1pt dmg
Turin attempts to pummel the cobra with his magical mace, atk roll 9+2=11 hits! for 5+2=7 dmg. The snake is smashed on the stone floor, and lies lifeless.

Egbert heads back out to watch the animals, "This place is horrid, I am leaving." he exclaims

Zavenorrin recovers his arrow, then looks inside the urn and on the floor to examine the gold coins that fell.
