Next play-by-post game: pick a module!

Postby tumblingdice » Thu Jun 23, 2011 11:27 pm

Is there an old module you have fond memories of playing? How about one you always wanted to play, but never had the chance? Think about it for a moment or two.

Now imagine that somebody is offering that same adventure as a pbp here on this site.

What title would you hope to see? I ask because I have a whole stack of modules, both D&D and AD&D, and I'm not sure which one to run next. :D

B4 would be fine, I haven't played that.

My wishes - S1: Tomb of Horrors - I managed to have missed this one.

I'm kind of interested in I3-5 but they have a specific Egyptian flavor that might not appeal to anyone else.

Non-TSR stuff and something that I have played but mostly is forgotten in the hazy cobwebs of my mind... Tegel Manor from Judge's Guild. Would love to revisit this I think.

So many!

Secret of Bone Hill

White Plume Mountain

The Sentinel & The Gauntlet

Cult of the Reptile God

The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth

At the top of my list would be:
B4 (Lost City)
White Plume Mountain (if converted to core LL - no AEC)

Thakazum, I've heard good things about Tegel Manor but alas I don't have it. Blood axe, I remember you had started running The Sentinel right before the forum switched over. I don't have that or The Gauntlet, so it's up to you for those two.

No AEC for you, Kipper? Somebody send a chaotic good half-elven fighter/magic-user/thief with an 18/50 STR and a funny polearm over to Kipper's house and try to talk some sense into him. :D

All other suggestions so far are possibilities. The Lost City is in the lead for now...

B4 would be cool
The whole I series before Ravenloft
Tomb of Horrors and Temple of Elemental Evil I've never played
And I've always wanted to do the U series also

But I'm up for just about anything.

Love to play some Star Frontiers or Top Secret (or good clones) but I'm purposefully limiting myself to this forum (as much as I was tempted by Kipper). :)

I'd love to see Star Frontiers! I have several books. But it would be difficult to run a PBP game- how many people are familair with the system, races, etc.

How about a game using WOTC's new expansion to their red box...

 You know, I actually bought the new red box when it came out last year. I thought it odd that while the box itself featured Larry Elmore's art, the two booklets on the inside didn't. For this and many other reasons, I re-sold it, along with the rest of my 4E stuff.

Since you're here, Djeryv, do you have an old favorite you'd like to suggest?
