Dieter casts a Fireball which explodes over Preposito Saving throw [1d20] = 9 dmg [6d6] = 23.
Shae copycasts Fireball somewhat behind the creature Saving throw [1d20] = 5 dmg [5d6] = 27.
Castinus fires double arrows Castinus bow of doubling [1d20+3] = 16+3 = 19, [1d20+3] = 20+3 = 23 both hitting dmg [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4 and max dmg.
Dandy does a Whelm smash Saving throw [1d20] = 17 but Preposito resists the stun.
Grimes flanks.
Furuk (autopilot) reloads.

Preposito decides he needs to get to business. Those fireballs and arrows hurt! He grabs an ornately decorated staff from next to his throne and directs it at the party (Grimes is far enough away as to avoid). An Ice Storm appears, the hailstones pounding at you dmg [3d10] = 8.

Dandy hears the plea for help and some instinct in him causes him to bestow the staff of healing's touch on Deiter.

OOC: I'm not sure Dandy can do much in his feebleminded state as far as healing. DMs call if he could at least use the staff of healing.

Preposito Take 2 Round 3

INITIATIVE baddies [1d6] = 5 party [1d6] = 3 finally!

Preposito (action 1) hits Furuk with Hold Person save vs spells at -2 [1d20-2] = 1-2 = -1. Furuk is frozen in place. He then (action 2) points his staff at Castinus and Dandy and fires off a lightning bolt dmg [10d6] = 30 Castinus save vs spells [1d20] = 20Dandy save vs spells [1d20] = 12.

Dandy touches Dieter with the staff Heal [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7
Dieter directs a Cone of Cold on the space where Preposito was before he disappeared. dmg [6d6] = 14
Shae (autopilot) fires off a magic missile which hit unerringly dmg [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4
Castinus fires another pair of arrows Castinus bow of doubling [1d20-1] = 20-1 = 19, [1d20-1] = 3-1 = 2 one of which hits dmg [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4 and the other of which sails wide.
Grimes takes his mighty trident and pokes the air where he thinks Prepositio is Grimes Wave attack [1d20+1] = 20+1 = 21 CRITICAL HIT. There is a mighty crack and a burst of flame and the invisible Prepositio reappears, falling into the throne. However, the being was covered in multicolored flame and the Flame Shield redirects double the damage back on the halfling! Grimes is thrown back and his body twitches once and then lies unmoving!

Prepsoito is dead. But what of Grimes?
