Dieter - Mage

Dieter will help dispatch the ghouls while stoned. After changing back he'll retrieve his items and ask Furuk to help move any metal items through the plate field for him.

Grimes - Aqua Halfling

Once free of the paralysis, Grimes sheepishly re-equips and smiles at the others... "Thanks, sorry about that. Thanks for runnin' to help me. I was thinking I was gonna be ghoul chow." He'll grab Wave a caress it lovingly, vowing to keep it close. He nods toward the stairs and says "Looks like not much choice, onward, eh?"

Dandy casts CLW on Castinus Heal [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7, Grimes Heal [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7, and Furuk Heal [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6. This also releases Grimes of the petrifying effects of the Ghouls.

He uses his Staff of Healing on Castinus Heal [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2, Grimes Heal [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5, and Furuk Heal [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2 as well.

The Ghouls are dispatched and the group takes a minute to catch their breaths. Dieter reverts to human again. Items are retrieved (except for treasure, which Einar will guard) and everyone is dressed again.

Moving along to the next room: The door pulls open, revealing a 20-footwide corridor running west. The floor, walls, and ceiling are lined with a silvery substance that reflects the light all the way to the end of this 80-foot-long room. A door opens in the northwest corner.

Just to the right of the door is a 5-footwide open pit 10 feet deep. At the bottom are rows of rusted razor-like blades. A similar pit crosses the room just to the east of the door in the northwest corner.

Dieter - Mage

Looking from the silvery hallway to the spiked pit: Umm, Ja... this promises nothing good.

"Thanks, Dandy," Castinus says. "You all right, Shae," he asks the half-elf.

He creeps forward to examine the first spike.

Grimes - Fighter

Grimes will cautiously advance, staying a few feet behind Castinus while he does his examination, ready to leap into action if something happens.

Castinus begins sliding as soon as he creeps onto the silvery surface. He can't find purchase on the floor to stop himself. It is as if the floor is frictionless.

Grimes, luckily right behind, grabs Castinus while he has a foot on the floor of the corridor outside the room, saving the rogue from a fall into the pit. Furuk helps Poseidon's man pull the thief back into the hall.

Shae - Fighter/Mage
"Perhaps we could drive spikes into the door here. Then using our Levitation magics to float to the next door and drive spikes in the far door. Attach rope to both ends and use the rope to keep our non floating treammates on their feet, leaping the pits as needed. Or we could fill up the pits with debris such as doors, ghoul bodies etc. Thoughts?"

Castinus breathes a sigh of relief, then pats Grimes on the shoulder. "Thanks," he says. "That wouldn't have ended well."

Dieter - Mage-O'rama

Indeed! We are seeing the vomit of a sick mind spewed forth! Hmmm.... Pulling out the wand of ice. I could use this to fill the pits in with ice. Then we slide over... hoping the far wall is not an illusion. Thoughts?
