Harn stays by Soldath, guarding the Mage. He stays ready for trouble, keeping a careful look out. He will retrieve his hammer if possible.

Day 16, Loshdain, Thaumont 16th, The Stone Wood, Combat Round 2

The battle continues! Athelstan and Renardius stand with weapons poised to strike, but the bat is out of range. They'll have to wait for it to get closer.

Tret quickly dispatches the two sleeping bats.

With a screech, the bat reappears from the darkness of the stone canopy above, dive bombing Tret. The thief ducks. So does Soldath, and just in time.

Harn, ready for trouble, throws a second hammer. It barely misses Tret and the wizard, but hits the bat with a thunk, and it collapses thump thump, dead. The hammer skids across the stone ground, the slows to a stop.

Renardius (Cleric)

Tret leads you further into the stone wood, which grows darker and darker. Occasional smaller trails cross your path, but most lead to dead ends, and eventually you stop searching them. With no sunlight, you can't quite tell what time it is. Your horses strain at their reins with greater frequency, and your efforts to control them, or to walk across cold stone ground for those of you not mounted, make your muscles ache and your stomachs rumble.

A few hours after defeating the giant bats, you come across a wider path winding away into the gloom between the lifeless trees. Looking along it, you catch sight of a group of goblins and wolves heading in your direction. The goblins are chattering noisily amongst themselves and do not appear to have seen you.

Athelstan - Fighter

Athelstan smiles at Tret and says, "Great idea. Time to settle some scores, here." And he prepares to engage the gobs.

Question: are we able to get a solid count of wolves and gobs?
