Meringered looks at Jörg and scratches the back of his head. "I will join." he says to Athelstan. "There is nothing much to do for me here. Besides, I would hate to leave old Anja go without me." He computes as well, silently, that Jörg and Athelstan are probably a little too much addicted to violence to be left alone in the wild...

Pyotr agrees to your requests. "Your plan," he says. "It's crazy. But, without a better idea, who am I to say? Take what you need."

You stock up a week's supply of rations and feed in your packs and saddle bags. Pyotr also loans horses to Soldath and Meringered. Jörg can use Renardius' war horse. Also, anyone with missile weapons can replenish their quivers.

For simplicity's sake, I'll place Jörg in Ha'arcus' old spot in the marching order and night watch schedule. If you think it should be different, let me know.

Amidst well wishes, and more than a few skeptical glances, you set off into the night to search for Loshad. I'll post more tonight.

Day 21, Moldain, Thaumont 21st, high moors, midnight

Torches in hand, you travel the three miles through the woods and out on to the moors. After that, quarter moon, and what seems to be a million stars, light the rolling grasslands that unfold before you, making torches unnecessary. Occasionally you see a herd of horses, grazing, resting, or asleep on their feet. A lone wolf spies your group, but disappears into the night before you can give chase.

You stop shortly before what seems like midnight. After some intense debate, a little practice, and some coaxing from Anja, it's determined that Meringered, timid Meringered, has the best whistle. You circle up your mounts and look expectantly at the young cleric.

Well, Meringered, this is your moment. Actions?

Athelstan - Fighter

Athelstan stands watchful, petting Bud (got to make a good impression for horse-man) and keeping a watchful eye on the horizon.

Old Anja (Shaman)

Anja smiles a slightly-creepy smile as she waves towards Meringered, waiting for him to commence.

Harn

Yes, when you only have four teeth.
