Grimes - Sizzling Fighter

Grimes, fighting the urge to say something witty, yet unwilling to give away his exact position, hacks at the dragon with his sword of dismembering, hoping to chop some valuable and useful body part off of the nasty lizard.

"Do as you wish and throw your hammer at the dragon Dandy."

Furuk loads another bolt and fires again at the dragon.

Avatar battle round 4

INITIATIVE baddies d6, 5, party d6, 2 Baddies have initiative

L3 strikes at Dandy (d20, 19, HIT, dmg d6+1, 3+1=4) hitting the cleric.

D2 swings at Einar (d20, 8, HIT, dmg d6+3, 4+3=7) and wounds him too.

Razemeth the Avatar struggles against his bonds and casts Darkness, plunging him, Einar and D2 in an area of darkness. You hear him laugh and hear webs snapping.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dieter casts sleep. He hears laughter from the darkness. The dragon is too powerful to be affected.
Dandy flings his hammer (d20-4, 18-4=14, HIT, dmg d8+2x2, 5+2x2=14) and hears a solid whack as the hammer finds its target.
Furuk loads another bolt into his heavy crossbow but cannot fire for a round.
Grimes charges the Dragon, plunging into the area of darkness, and swinging his blade (d20-4, 16-4=12, MISS) but cannot connect in the darkness.
Einar (autopilot) strikes back at his foe (d20-4, 8, MISS) but cannot make the cut.
The blue circle is the area affected by the darkness.
You hear evil laughter from the darkness as webs snap...
Grimes - Fighter
Grimes will silently continue to swing away, hoping to connect with the dragon. Deep down inside he knows that this is likely the end for him, so he's determined to go out in a blaze of glory.
Dieter - Mage
Dieter casts magic missile at L3. Last of me majicks gents! If the missile drops the lizard he'll tell Dandy to see if he can hit the draco in the dark.
assuming Furuk completes his action...
Avatar battle round 5
INITIATIVE baddies d6, 1, party d6, 5 party has initiative
Dieter casts Magic Missile at L3. An eldritch bolt of energy lance out towards the lizardman (d6+1, 4+1=5) and the green skin and robes crackle with energy as it hits. L3 is injured but not out.
Furuk fires his mundane bolt into the darkness (d20-4, 8-4=4, MISS) and it emerges from the other side to embed into the terrace afar.
Grimes swings at the dragon (d20, 20, CRITICAL HIT, dmg d6+3, 5+3=8) and a web-covered dragon claw flies out of the sphere of darkness. Razemeth the Avatar screams in outrage and pain!
Dandy (autopilot) swings at L3 as Dieter's missile did not end him (d20, 12, HIT, dmg d8+4, 2+4=6) and the hammer sunders the poor lizardman's skull.
Einar attacks his foe (D2) in the darkness (d20-4, 10-4, MISS) but cannot connect.
===================================
D2 swings at Einar in the dark (d20-4, 14-4, HIT, dmg d6+3, 5+3=8) and Einar dies in the dark.
Webs snap and the great dragon Razemeth the Avatar rises from the darkness, one claw shy. I can see, wizard. Darkness defeats light, he taunts, and acid flies from his mouth at Furuk and Dieter. Furuk (save vs breath, d20, 2, FAIL) and Dieter (save vs breath, d20, 10, FAIL) get the full brunt of the beast's breath weapon as acid burns them badly. They are lucky the Avatar is wounded.
Einar breathes no more. The Avatar glances at the dark pool below, sorely wounded, flapping his huge, bat-like wings.
Grimes - Fighter
Is Grimes close enough to strike the dragon again? Or leap on him? If he can strike him, he'll do it, ducking back into the darkness for cover if needed... if not, Grimes will sheath his trusty sword and draw his bow.
UNLESS - if the dragon is too high, is there anyplace close that Grimes could use his spider climb abilities from the cloak to climb up and possibly leap on the dragon's back?
He's flying, so I'm going to say probably not. If Grimes tries, it will be with a DEX check with at least a -4 due to darkness.
That said, I'm not saying he can't attempt it.
Dieter - Mage
Dieter will get away from Furuk and Dandy so they don't present a conveniently grouped breath weapon target, along the edge to the west. Dieter will lob a dart while on the move at the draco.
