The halfling can carry as much as a human?

I would half their carry capacity and the weight of halfling armor or just say them boogers are just like ants.

ALSO does anyone add 10lbs for every +1 to Strength for carry capacity?

What chall do bout dem haflings?

I haven't penalized halflings for their size, but 3.0, 3.5 and PF do put their carrying capacity at .75 of a normal man.

I do give an extra 10 pounds per point of str mod. This last game I started I actually did +10, +20, +40 respectively, but +10 or +15 per point of modifier would be fine imo.

It does seem odd. I've always put it down to the fact that most of their equipment will be proportionally smaller, and thus weigh less, objectively.

Halflings aren't any weaker than humans, most halfling characters I have seen are actually stronger than most clerics, magic-users and thieves. Now house ruling movement on the other hand would be a better way to go. I don't do it but it would make more sense than saying characters that are stronger than most humans can't carry as much.

I house rule movement for halflings and dwarves - they move at 90' normally instead of 120'. Of course, dwarves are natural sprinters. . .

I don't house rule anything that would hurt halflings. I find that they are already grossly under-represented in most B/X & LL games.

I am with Dyson on this one but I can understand why an LL would want to in an AEC game. So you can get closer to the AD&D feel.
