The goodwife produces a bouzouki from another room and hands it over to Tavin who, in a few minutes, has figured out how to play it as it is similar enough to the balalaika for his purposes. The restless crowd gathers round and Tavin entertains. In gratitude, the goodwife produces a hearty meal of pig, lamb, vegetables, roasted apples, and bread with plenty of ale, wine, water, and mead for the party. It is late by the time the crowd thins and the meal is done and the party goes to their rooms.

In the morning, or, judging by the sun, closer to noon, the party awakens. Calmert waits with Ostler, chatting in the now almost empty great room of the Inn of the Welcome Wench. He greets the red-eyed party members and the goodwife appears with warm bread and plenty of butter and honey, with milk, water, and mead to drink beside. The cleric has a package of food for the trip and asks if everyone is ready to return...

Thurwin - Wizard

Thurwin gathers his items, securely packs his gear and gives a morning greeting to Calmert. "Glad to have you with us, Calmert. Yes, I think we are ready to head back. Hopefully no hooligans have occupied our tower, eh, fellas?"

Let's get moving, same way back as before I assume, avoiding Nulb.

Question: Are we taking the two or three men at arms with us?

As a reminder, you had five men-at-arms. With Fr Redmond's departure, two followed him (they were, after all, Zagygians) so there are three left.

They will work for treasure, as you might guess, for half of one of your pays (their eyes went wide when they saw what you made underground before). It's up to you if you want them, they can find work in Hommlet or with a passing caravan easily enough...

Calthas checks all his gear and makes himself ready to leave the village full of fools to meet even crazier creatures and monsters. At the back of his mind, there is a little voice telling him that it tells something about himself, but he shrugs it off for now.

Tavin - Monk

Tavin readies himself and casually nods to Calmert when asked if he is prepared.

The party leaves the Inn of the Welcome Wench and is soon passing the tower of Rufus and Burne on the way out of the town of Hommlet (it would have been better as the hamlet of Hommlet, alas)

The interlude is over and the action continues in Return to the Temple http://www.goblinoidgames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=3187.
