Skull Mountain: Beginnings

Postby greyarea » Tue Mar 29, 2011 8:20 pm

You find yourselves in an inn called The Rat and Pig in the Town of Wolford on a beautiful day. The inn is pleasant enough and you have no reason to complain as payment for your stay arrived with the note that brought you here. Rosco Blathers has shown you to your rooms and helped you settle in.

The promise that the note gives has given you reason enough to travel here: apparently word of your adventures to this point has traveled far.

The note simply requests the presence of your team on this date (or sooner) for a urgent matter that requires your particular expertise: a matter for which handsome reward is promised. The note states that this evening you will recieve further instructions, and most humbly requests your assistance. It also demands your confidence as these things must not be made public.

There are many hours until eveningfall...

Not much for being inside a hotel or tavern on a nice day- Anadrea ventures out to a nearby wooded area and will hang out in the crotch of a large tree until dusk. She will seek out some edible plants for lunch

Let the red dawn surmise
What we shall do,
When this blue starlight dies
And all is through.

KALVAIN (paladin)

KALVAIN will ask the innkeeper (Rosco?) for directions to the nearest church (preferably a church of LAW!).

Mr Blathers (if you please) gives you directions to The Shrine of Garth, within the town limits.

Maeglin requests a table near the back, and sets up a friendly little poker game. While enjoying the game (and deliberately not winning as much as he could), he listens to the chatter of the crowd. He smiles broadly when Sal enters.

"Good afternoon, Brother Sal! Care to join us?"

Dandy Dwarf Cleric

Does the same as Kalvain, but any temple will do as long as it is "good."

Dieter

Dieter takes a stroll through the town to get familiar with with the layout. When done he retires to the inn common room to enjoy a mug of mead and chat with the locals. Eventually he'll tuck into some local fare.

OCC: Dieter keeps and eye out for mages guilds and shops around town. He'll spend up to 2gp buying drinks for locals if they have interesting information.

Dieter finds most of the shops in the Mercat Square area. The majority of the shops are typical for a rural town of 4,000 -- food stands, smithies, and the like. You find no mage guild.

The residents are extremely friendly but reveal nothing generally interesting. People are more interested in knowing who you are and news from the other towns then telling much about what's happening in this little sheep town.

Dandy wonders... if they have an alchemist and/or magic shop in town?

Dandy finds neither. If they exist they are well hidden and the town isn't that large.
