The orcs march off, looking for this hydra as described.

Many hands go to work on the iron maiden and a gruesome sight meets them. The dead body slumps from the device into Calmert's arms. The little gnome is almost overwhelmed by the large human whose dead weight he now holds, but others assist and the corpse is laid on the floor gently. The woman who is his wife looks stoically upon the body, and says, Thank you for your assistance. Her face is set as stone.


The party is in the area marked Turnkey (152). The orcs have left, presumably to wreak havoc.

Thurwin turns to Calthas and says "Yes, we need to escort these ladies to the top." Thurwin asks the women "Ladies, where are you from? Nulb? Hommlett?"

OOC: I agree, we should escort them out and then we can rest and tackle one of the unexplored areas on the way back down.

Calmert agrees with this idea, "It only seems right to protect these ladies on their way out of this despicable place."

So it looks like you want to head back to the surface. There are at least four options:



1 - to the unknown (unlikely to lead upstairs to your knowledge)
2 - unknown passage that might lead to where you wiped out the ghouls
3 - another unknown passage that also might lead to where you wiped out the ghouls
4 would be to head back by the Earth Temple, through 137, 133, and back to an exit. Longest (and thus most likely to run into wandering monsters) but known.

Actions?

OOC: I say take #3. Yeah, we want to get these folks to safety, but it wouldn't hurt to see what's here/clear it. We could have Caydon listen at doors, etc. That's just my thoughts.

OCC: Be back soon guys, really long week of studies and I had a close friend who's wife passed away last Sunday (leaving three kids under 10 with him). Need some time... helping him with everything.

Calthas votes for #3 as well.
