"We will have to move swift and silent or the beasts will hear us", he whispers to Dieter but loud enough for all to hear. He motions with his head for the others to follow, draws up his hood and proceeds to the pool.

The Baths

You follow Einar to the pool room. Luckily, you arouse no attention in doing so.



This room holds a large pool of steaming liquid. A row of grey robes on pegs hangs along one wall. The humidity in the room is more than you've experienced in some time.

His voice barely above a whisper, "I wonder if we should put on the robes?" If no one wants to, Grimes will volunteer to don a robe and approach the pool.

Dieter shrugs at Grimes and grabs a robe also: You don't think it might be a spa do you? Might be a bit opulent down here but it occurred to me that this may be someones house...

Grimes chuckles as he dons a robe, trying to make it fit his short stature as best he can. "They say the steam is good for your complexion" he says with a wink to Dieter...

"It wouldn't hurt to blend in with the natives."

Furuk grabs a robe and puts it on. He looks around the room for secret doors or anything else, while trying to stay a safe distance from the steaming pool.

The Baths

You all don robes (or at least most of you do) and Grimes goes to check out the liquid. The heat rising form the pool is considerable. Grimes puts his finger in to test it and pulls it away quickly: the liquid is almost scalding. (1HP damage) There's no way anyone without Furuk's ring could stand the heat, anyone other than a lizardman, that is. Smelling and then tasting the liquid on his burnt finger, Grimes confirms that it is indeed water.

Einar checks for secret doors, but finds none.

Dandy (autopilot) decides to cast Cure Light Wounds on the halfling, to ensure his finger doesn't interfere with the swinging of his sword. Grimes is briefly bathed in the light blue glow of the spell (d6+1, 6+1=7) and finds himself feeling good as new.

OOC: Yes, I know that is a split infinitive and, supposedly, poor grammar. I use them purposefully. Blame Star Trek for teaching me the poetic use of the grammatical device.

Grimes agrees, "Yeah, let's go kill some lizards. Hey.. let's wear these robes. Maybe it'll fool em." He absentmindedly asks "you all think this is sacred or something? Pointing at the pool. A mischevious grin crosses his face, and for a moment he considers uh.. descecrating the pool.
